Origins Ecommerce (“Origins Ecommerce,” “us”, “we”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy and integrity of information entrusted to us. Origins Ecommerce provides card processing and related services and products to businesses (collectively “Payment Services”). Origins Ecommerce business clients sell goods and/or services to their consumer and business customers using Origins Ecommerce Payment Services. Origins Ecommerce Payment Services are provided only to its business clients. The Payment Services are not for use by individual consumers; however, our business clients may share consumer personal information with us. This Privacy Policy applies to personal information that may be collected on www.originsecommerce.com (the “Site”), which is owned and operated by Origins Ecommerce, and personal information that may be collected by Origins Ecommerce as a result of the transactions that are completed using the Payment Services. All information obtained by Origins Ecommerce via the Site is for commercial purposes only and not for consumer (family, personal or household use) purposes. Personal information shared with Origins Ecommerce by its business clients may arise out of consumer transactions or/and commercial transactions. Protecting the privacy of users of our Site and the privacy of personal information obtained as a result of the use of our Payment Services is a priority for us. We have implemented security measures to ensure your information is protected, including secure networks and servers that are accessible to a limited number of employees and industry standard encryption technologies for our receipt and transfer of sensitive information. Social security numbers will be collected only when necessary to conduct our business and in compliance with applicable law. We limit access to social security numbers to only those who need it to perform their job duties. Social security numbers will not be shared with third parties unless there is a legitimate business “need to know,” in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and provided the third parties have a contractual or legal duty to appropriately protect the social security numbers. Social security numbers may be collected and disclosed for the purposes of:

  • performing identity verification, sanctions list screening, and any other screening and checks required by law and applicable to the business in which Origins Ecommerce engages;
  • obtaining credit reports to determine eligibility to receive Origins Ecommerce Payment Services;

A refusal to provide your social security number where requested by Origins Ecommerce may result in Origins Ecommerce being unable to offer or continue to provide Payment Services to you or the entity you represent.

If we collect sensitive personal information (social security number or financial, health, children’s or precise geolocation information), we will seek your consent unless the law allows us to collect it without your consent. In most cases, if you choose not to provide us with your personal information for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy, we may not be able to provide you with our Payment Services. VIII. Social Media Widgets

Our Site may include Social Media Features, such as the Facebook Like button and Widgets like the Share this button or interactive mini-programs that run on our Site. These features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our Site, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social Media Features and Widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Site. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.  

IX. Accessing and Updating Your Personal Information

In general, you are entitled to access your personal information that we are holding. In the event you request access to your personal information, we will provide you with a description of your personal information we hold, advise you on why we are holding it, let you know who it could be disclosed to, and give you a copy of the information in intelligible form. In accordance with applicable law, there may be a charge from us for providing the above described access. Such charge will not be excessive. There may be legal or administrative reasons to deny you access to your personal information that we hold. XII. This Site is Not Intended for Persons Under the Age of 18

This Site is not intended for or directed at persons under the age of 18 (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) and such minors’ use of the Site on their own is not permitted. Origins Ecommerce does not knowingly collect or maintain any personal information from children under the age of 13 and children under the age of 13 are not permitted to use the Payment Services. If you believe a child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us using one of the methods set forth at the end of this Privacy Policy. If we become aware that a child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it.
