PayPal is continuing to integrate its payment services into more platforms. This company has just launched their first bot on messaging platform Slack, which will allow users to quickly transfer cash between each other.
Within Slack, users located in Australia, Canada, the US and the UK will be able to access the PayPal bot using the “/PayPal” command after they install it from the Slack app store. The bot will allow co-workers to quickly settle up split bills, office pools or shared cabs.
Conversational commerce and chatbots are quickly becoming some of the fastest growing sectors in ecommerce. As peer-to-peer payments continue to grow in popularity with PayPal’s own Venmo leading the charge, it’s no surprise that PayPal chose to capitalize through their partnership with Slack.
