Digital marketers using Snapchat’s advertising platform will soon be able to take advantage of a new targeting method as the company plans on implementing a behavioral targeting mechanism.
A recent report by Business Insider suggests that the new targeting method will only use in-app activity data, meaning users that use the platform to follow their favorite fashion models or sports athletes will become more susceptible to fashion and sports ads respectively. No external factors or platforms will be taken into account at this time.
It has been a busy year for Snapchat as the company has been vigorously rolling out new features in an attempt to make good on its goal to generate $1 billion in revenue by next year.
