Google has announced three updates this week that present some significant opportunities for businesses looking to reach more potential customers.
Marketers will soon have the ability to reach users across all their devices. Advertisers can set their ads to target the same user at different times throughout day on different devices.
For physical commerce locations, advertisers will be able to target based on user location. As users browse apps and websites, advertisements will appear that include nearby stores along with Google Maps, directions and photos.
Since 2011, Google’s Brand Lift has been providing marketers with insight on consumer awareness and purchase intentions during the buyers’ journey. Brand Lift will now be extended to commercials uploaded online. According to Google, YouTube videos generate twice as many searches per impression than TV generates. So, as long as your commercial is uploaded on YouTube, Google will be able to provide reports on searches done for your brand.
