Pinterest is now making it quicker and easier for ecommerce companies to create advertising campaigns on their platform to drive traffic. Similar to Facebook’s “Boost” feature, Pinterest’s “Promote” button will make a pin visible to a wider audience.
According to Product Manager Vivian Chow, businesses that use Promoted Pins can expect a 100% increase in web traffic within the first week of campaign launch. This update comes on the heels of the platform’s recent Promoted Videos update, as the company moves towards being more ecommerce friendly.
Promoted Pin will be charged per click and businesses will be able to designate an URL to drive traffic to, select keywords to target and set daily budgets.
Pinterest also recently came out with a guide for advertisers on how to successfully use Pinterest to build awareness, improve engagement, increase clicks and drive conversions.
